Limited Warranty
This is the only warranty One Orange Day LLC (“RVP”) gives on a recertified component. It is deliberately narrow: it covers failure of the part at the place RVP repaired it. It does not cover new damage, installation, or the rest of the repair.
1. What is covered
RVP warrants that a recertified component it sold will be free from failure attributable to RVP’s recertification repair of that component, for the term in section 3. In practice that means, at the documented repair site on the unit:
- cracking or fracture of the repaired area;
- delamination or separation of repair material from the substrate;
- adhesion or bond failure of the repair;
- loss of structural integrity of the repaired area under normal use.
Coverage attaches to the specific serialized unit identified on its certificate and is bound to the VIN recorded when payment settled.
2. What is not covered
This warranty does not cover, and RVP is not responsible for:
- new impact or collision damage, road debris, hail, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, or any other external event, whether or not it affects the repaired area;
- installation — fit, alignment, fastening, sealing, calibration of any sensor or ADAS component, or any other aspect of how the unit was fitted to the vehicle;
- refinishing — colour match, paint adhesion, texture, orange peel, or any coating applied after the unit left RVP, including refinish work performed by the installing shop;
- failure of an area of the component that RVP did not repair;
- modification, drilling, cutting, heat, solvent or chemical exposure, or repair of the unit by anyone other than RVP;
- normal wear, UV fade, cosmetic change over time, or accumulated road damage;
- damage from continued operation after a failure was, or should have been, apparent;
- any loss where the serial label has been removed, altered, obscured, or is not legible;
- consequential losses — towing, rental, loss of use, downtime, diminished value, lost income, or cycle-time impact.
3. Term — when coverage starts and ends
Coverage runs 12 months from the moment payment for the unit settles, and ends at the close of that period. The settlement timestamp is recorded and printed on the certificate, so whether a failure falls inside the window is a matter of record.
Coverage does not start when the part is installed or when the vehicle is delivered to its owner. A unit that sits before installation consumes part of its own term.
Coverage is bound to the VIN and stays with that vehicle if it changes hands. It cannot be moved to a different vehicle or to a different unit.
4. Who can claim
The purchasing repair facility, or the owner of the vehicle identified by the VIN on the certificate, may make a claim. No registration is required beyond the certificate issued at sale.
5. How to make a claim
Before any repair or replacement work is performed on the affected unit:
- Locate the certificate number, or scan the QR code on the unit, which resolves to the verification page.
- Email support@rvpparts.com with the certificate number, the VIN, a description of the failure, and photographs showing the failure and the surrounding area.
- Do not remove, discard, or repair the unit until RVP has responded. RVP may require the unit be returned for inspection at RVP’s expense.
Claims must be submitted within the coverage term and within thirty days of the failure becoming apparent. RVP may deny a claim where the unit was repaired, discarded, or altered before inspection, because the cause of failure can no longer be determined.
6. What RVP will do
If RVP determines a covered failure occurred, RVP will, at its option:
- supply a replacement recertified unit of equivalent specification; or
- reimburse documented reasonable cost to remedy the covered failure, at prevailing local labour rates.
A replacement unit carries the remainder of the original term, not a new term. Where a replacement is supplied, coverage on the original unit ends.
7. Relationship to the shop’s own warranty
This warranty is a backstop, not a substitute. The installing facility remains responsible for its own workmanship, including installation and refinish, under whatever warranty that facility gives its customer. Where a failure results from both the recertification and the installation, RVP is responsible only for its portion.
8. Relationship to insurance
9. Other warranties and your legal rights
RVP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by any vehicle manufacturer, and this warranty is not a manufacturer warranty. A recertified component is not new and is not represented as OEM-certified.
Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the term stated in section 3, to the extent permitted by law. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so those limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
10. Voiding
Coverage on a unit terminates if the unit is returned, the order refunded, the certificate voided, the serial label removed or made illegible, or the VIN on the certificate is shown to be false.
11. Changes
RVP may revise this warranty for future sales. The version in force at the time a unit was sold governs that unit for its full term, and is identified on the certificate. Revising this page does not change coverage already issued.
12. Governing law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — TO BE COMPLETED] and is subject to the dispute resolution provisions of the Terms of Service.
